I miss her man. Grandma knew everything about everything. She used to make these really dense pound cakes and despite having the literal recipe she had and following it EXACTLY mine never tasted as good as hers. I don't know if its me being retarded or the quality of ingredients. They're close but hers were better

Did you ever watch her making them? Experience shows that grannies never write down every step to a recipe because there's plenty that they think is obvious (it's not obvious).
