For most of my life I could do about 1 year with a pair of shoes with daily use, so each year a new pair of shoes With all huge price increases nowadays I’m in my third year with this pair, there is just nothing left for that At first I thought I did something wrong but I’ve come to see that’s it’s probably more the level of unfairness in the current state of the world perhaps I’m just mad and sad about a lot of things, like many of us I suppose

@stux@mstdn.social €20,99? I got a notification that my subscription will go from €13,99 to €15,99. Where is your subscription charged, somewhere else than the Netherlands?

@stux@mstdn.social I use two adblockers on YouTube. I have all the premium advantages and pay nothing. I'd feel bad when they would ask for only 5 € / month, I do not feel bad for saving 21 € or even 40 €. Not the least!

@stux@mstdn.social I've mostly given up on Youtube now, and it's not only the constant ads (which I could remove by paying for Premium) but also the contant clickbaiting for lurid content I'm really not interested in. By now, I ony use NewPipe and only look at channels I've subscribed to. The times of just browsing YouTube for interesting stuff is really over...

@stux@mstdn.social I don’t like the price of everything going up all the time, but I typically watch YouTube 25 hours per day (+/- 1 hour) every day so I’ll keep paying for it as I don’t have any other streaming media subscriptions at all.
