There. 2 x 2 TB M2 (Kingston) drives i can use for backup. One is physically stored elsewhere for redundancy. The best part is the speed: 700 MB/sec which means i can do a full backup of all my VMs i use for work in minutes. If i add a layer of Veracrypt on it, speed will go down to 550 MB/sec, but even that speed is totally acceptable. I was one of those admins that did backups to a DAT tape back in the 90s and it fucking took all weekend. I have a backup drive for my personal data that i do backup with maybe once a year because it is so sloooooow. Basically if i can't do backups fast, they will probably not be done at all.
