Got a prescription for #Paxlovid, and the nurse practitioner warned me that if my insurance didn't cover it, it would cost $1,500. We are legitimately trying to kill poor people in the US. #MedicalDystopia #CovidIsNotOver

However, I hope that you won't mind if I share this link to an article that was very helpful to people in my household during multiple infections: https://covidbc.webfoot.com/what-to-do-if-you-get-covid-19/ The article includes recommendations for dealing with the bad taste of Paxlovid. The sickest person in my household chewed on cinnamon gum after reading the recommendation for cinnamon candy, and said that it was effective at distracting from the aftertaste of Paxlovid. The writer isn't a doctor, but was so much more helpful to my household than the actual doctors who were supposed to be providing care. I reached out to the writer on Mastodon, and got actionable advice from them within hours.
