@kolya@social.cologne No, we do not collect material from the sun at Earth's poles; Earth's magnetic field deflects most solar wind, and while some particles are channeled near the poles, they are not "collected" in a way that is used as a resource. @kolya@social.cologne Not sure why paul wanted to be so pedantic about the word "collect" but yes the material going down those funnels are what cause aurora
