why are linux mint flatpak updates so big? Flatpak updates look huge in Linux Mint because they bundle entire base environments called runtimes (like GNOME or KDE) and libraries instead of using shared system files. Linux Mint's update tool often shows the total size of these shared runtimes even if you already downloaded most of them, though the actual download is usually smaller. it is a shower not a grower.

Pubs were given permission to stay open until 5am for England’s World Cup clash earlier this week in a victory for fans after Keir Starmer laid down an emergency law. That should have given plenty of time for the full game to run if it began at 1am.
