I start today by going over "manuwa soch soch" in Bihagada, one of two main items I'll be presenting on Sunday. The two days of practice I did at the beginning of the week have had a chance to "settle" in my muscles, and I'm able to move some ideas around in different ways, building some less symmetrical patterns and incorporating syncopations and pauses in the shapes.

There is a distribution problem in the antara, and I have to remind myself to breathe, take time, remain oriented to the taal in order that I don't finish the section too early and lose momentum — the final bol-taan in 32nd-notes needs to start on beat 13 of the slow teentaal (37 bpm) in order to land correctly. A couple of passes through the section squares that away. 4/
