#WritersCoffeeClub 7 Apr: Do you combine poetic fragments and prose paragraphs in your work? Absolutely! In my WIP it's mostly in the form of spells, since I feel like spoken magic ought to be at least a little poetic. Just shouting "I cast fireball!" or "Flamius Ballius!" may be fine in a D&D game (or certain wizard books who shall not be named), but I like to get a bit more creative. My characters occasionally sing, too, and Leila even recites Persian poetry at one point, because she can.
