The fact that so many base-builders have a high-level meta of "DON'T GET RICH!!!!! STAY POOR!" is both annoying and hilarious. It does mean that a lot of settlements are annihilated because they got a breeding pair of goats or chickens, though, because "rich" and "poor" are not determined by any kind of actual excess of wealth, but by the amount of military murder warkillfighter readiness you have.
