I am working on labeling some bottles of, uh, liquid Xmas gifts. I was supremely irritated to discover that I have to create a profile on Avery’s website in order to download their document templates. I refuse to do so on principle. It's ridiculous that I have to surrender my info to use something I bought. Thus, I created an Inkscape template for Avery 5657 (2-inch round labels). If you happen to have other Avery templates & would be willing to contact me, I'd like to create a free repository.

@ossobuffo@triangletoot.party Logging into their site for a label template is bullshit.

@ossobuffo@triangletoot.party there are LaTeX templates for the most common ones but don't think you can just add use those in inkscape

  • @timsk@mastodon.social @ossobuffo@triangletoot.party Yeah, but it doesn't look like they have the 5657. And LibreOffice Writer wasn't great for round labels the last time I tried. I could only figure out how to get rectangular regions, so I had to guess at the circle boundaries when laying things out. Still, a good resource for many Avery labels.

  • @ossobuffo@triangletoot.party LibreOffice has these in my default installs, it might be possible to extract from their codebase...
