@amirbkhan@mastodon.social @pluralistic@mamot.fr yeah we're all like polite and tolerant and intelligent people when we're talking about opennes, up until we hit a bum on the street. And I bet you cross the street to avoid any unwanted contact. The street is a good analogy to the internet. You want everyone to get onboard, but then you realize all these people coming with their perception of 'norm' and their governments to enforce this 'norm' on YOU. And you want to escape it, but alas! There is no place to hide.

You can call it 'bubble', and I remind you -- you're also very picky when you carefully choose the neighbourhood for your kids. I miss good old days when everyone on the net were either engineers or scientists
