Sometimes I like to noodle while reading a book, so I turn to my left and start playing but without hitting record. I happened to have a piano sound under my fingers at that time, so I just started doodling and this was the result. Logic has a mode whereby, even if you weren't recording when you started, you can capture what you played anyway because it stores it in a buffer.
