Women equally affected just in different ways, mostly by hating their sons and becoming emotionally frigid.

Millenials and Gen X: raised by a generation of women that hated men and raised by a generation of men that saw their sons as sexual competition instead of both the physical and spiritual continuation of themselves. The boomer parents kneecapped and undercut their offspring in all ways, then blame their children for not being successful. They will not be missed after Jamal beats him do death at the nursing home.

The "girl dad" (treating sons like shit but placing their daughters on a pedestal) phenomenon was particularly bad with the boomers.
