Semi-Official now, the U.S. Air Force Special Warfare Recruiting Instagram account is confirming that the downed F-15E weapons system officer (WSO) was rescued.
Says "inside contested enemy area in Iran," as in "engaged in a 'massive firefight' at the extraction site" which other rumor level reports have also said. They praise the WSO for paying "attention in SERE training."
CBS for what it's worth is claiming the Air Force is claiming this is not an official Instagram account; they do have the magic Zuckerberg blue check mark, but who knows??

MAYBE. The post claiming the F-15E weapon systems officer (WSO) downed in Iran has now been removed, although the account still remains. It's aligned with other rumor level reports I'd seen earlier, we'll just have to wait to know what's up. If it was true, you can imagine Pentagon PR types getting in a snit for proper channels not being used.
