MAYBE. The post claiming the F-15E weapon systems officer (WSO) downed in Iran has now been removed, although the account still remains. It's aligned with other rumor level reports I'd seen earlier, we'll just have to wait to know what's up.
If it was true, you can imagine Pentagon PR types getting in a snit for proper channels not being used.
