I find the increasing apathy for and acceptance of surveillance in both public and digital spaces concerning. Especially in the EU. Just some years ago there were even privacy focused political parties that did fairly well and the EU did the #privacy laws it is famous for. But now Germany and other #EU countries want a domestic equivalent for Palantir? And there is no outcry about it. Also, that Germans went along with the whole Vorratsdatenspeicherung/preemptive storing of phone calls is baffling.
