Within the next few hours I am supposed to be receiving a bare-root crabapple tree, to keep the two apple trees in my backyard company. I already have two crabapples in the front yard. This new one, though, is supposed to yield large fruit (for a crabapple, anyway) that is good for making jelly. I remember years ago eating candied crabapples served with sauerbraten. Maybe I'll try something like that too. #Gardening
