I "love" how Steam has a whole page called "Programs Which May Interfere with Steam" that's just all "anti-virus software, VPNs, anti-spyware software, firewalls, security programs..." and their advice is try disabling them.
Yeah, to play your game you just have to shut down all your security and allow spyware.
Um... or maybe let me play my chosen games without spying on me? How can I set up that option?

Steam's like, "to start playing chess, get out the chess board and pieces. Put the pieces on the board and unlock your front door and any safe containing valuables. Write your master password on a piece of paper and attach it to your refrigerator. Decide who is is going to play white and who is going to play black. Optional: start chess timer." Some parts of this plan I'm cool with, and other parts...well, not so much.
