‘Superman: Lost’ is about Superman being lost, in space. For something like twenty years. But thanks to some time travel nonsense he returns to the same day he left so he’s the only one who knows that he was even gone, let alone for how long. The story is then told as two parallel threads; you have what Clark got up to on summer exile but each issue is framed by Lois watch the man she loves struggle with something that superpowers can’t help with. Struggle to remember how live on Earth, how to do his job, how to even speak English, or the names of the people in his life. Twenty years is a long time. I would say that the biggest problem with the title is that there isn’t more of it, there’s plenty of room for Clark to have had more adventures out there (twenty years is a long time), but the ending is so terribly selfish that I have to spoil it.
