Although this intersection looks like one you would finds buried in dozens of places in every NA city, in this context it is the intersection of a couple major motorways outside of urban space; so perhaps appropriate for the setting.

@DavidM_yeg@mstdn.ca @BrentToderian@mastodon.online The Hovenring is an eye-catching (as requested by city council) solution to a problem created by auto traffic. More direct and just as safe bike connections would have been provided by only two over- or underpasses given existing controlled bike crossing but a block away. In addition, little of the land use adjacent to the intersection appears to need or currently have direct access to exits from the Hovenring.
