all the terrible implementation of the age verification checks in our everyday devices I am seeing people battle with makes me at least little more happy that Estonia has implemented digital E-ID already decades ago. For me, to verify my age, or identity electronically, its a matter of entering my personal details to an app, get a authentication request from our E-ID app, put in my pin and whatever service wants to verify me gets a verifiable bit of data on me. This is one of the times where I wish that technical advancements would be at least somewhat unversal across the countries. Nobody should deal with the horrendous experiences people are battling with. Inaccessible passport scanning UI, severely limited authentication options and getting locked out of your own personal devices is something what must not happen in 2026 to anyone.
