I wonder if it's now time to dust off yet-another-side-project of "writing the mapping app i wish Apple had actually made (and that I tried to push for when I worked on Maps)"

@davedelong@mastodon.social I like how it says “coming” when I already have to shove all the useless Guides out of the way when I launch Maps on my iPad. (It's an older iPad so maybe they toned it down since then. But that just means this is coming *back*.)
