the one and only time I ever got to visit Canada, having heard that Alberta was the Texas of Canada we drove there from Texas. we went through Montana to Banff, which is a mountain tourist town, then went to Calgary. everyone drove so slowly I thought I would die and I saw 5 guys in a row wearing capri pants.
not trying to cast aspersions upon the mighty nation of Canada but maybe my expectations were a little off

My parents & I went to Glacier National Park, driving from Texas one summer & I met a girl my age at the campsite next to ours from Edmonton, Alberta. She sounded foreign to me & I sounded foreign to her. She impressed me when she washed her hair in an ice-cold mountain stream there.
