I think the :fediverse: Fediverse :fediverse: is the first place I've genuinely interacted with trans people. I've been crappy at misgendering at times and saying "brother" when I shouldnt.
But regardless the trans people have been far more patient and kind than expected. Far more class than a lot of rich people I have to work with.

When you grow up abused. You tend to have a clear idea of who are your true comrades, even if very different with gender identity or culture.
