I couldn’t stream Disney+ because of an error code that implies you’re on a VPN (code 73). After a long live chat they “refreshed my IP address” and it magically worked again. Two things: “refresh” clearly means “remove from the block list” and also they sent me to an ad-riddled website to get my IP address.

@robb Out of curiosity, were you trying to stream using the app, or directly in a browser—say, Safari?

@robb it’s hard for me to imagine companies being more anti consumer than cable companies. Fortunately the likes of Netflix, Disney +, and HBO Max have found even more ways to ruin the experience of watching TV.🤮

@robb does your ISP use CGNAT? Lots of cheap VPNs people use also act as residential proxies that others (ab)use. One person using it on an IP range and you can get hit by their block.
