Was reminded today of WPE - "Windows Packet Editor". Basically everything Burpsuite can do, but for pretty much app protocols and just not HTTP/HTTPS, it do requires some high skill fiddling around with to get it to do what you want. I remember some people who used it to cheat in games - and quickly got banned, but it worked as long as you knew what packet/offset you were editing.
