There is so much ableism in my feed. The casual nature of most of it is what really stings. It goes to show that ableism is integral to the fediverse, part of its fundamental structure. Words like stupid and silly as well as dumb and smart are one of the symptoms that show that society doesn't care about disabled people. Ableist language is one part of the universe of ableism. Please, please look into ableism as a whole and what it does.

While writing that society doesn't care about disabled people, I was thinking about a clip that Ra’il (https://mastodon.art/@so_treu@scholar.social) shared (can't find it now) in which Jayme Lawson speaks out on the racist bafta incident and says that they (bafta and bbc) don't care for Black people's humanity and dignity (see here: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/jayme-lawson-naacp-bafta-bbc-1236518590/)
