Where many journalists get confused is how that ~500 dollar clawback gets distributed to the rest of the seniors making below 81,000. Think of it this way - to "save" 1 billion dollars per month, there would have to be 1.25 Million seniors making more than 150,000 net per year. Seniors make up about 20% of the population, or about 8 million.
