And I think that really highlights where the problem lies. AI allowed they to “perform” at levels normally couldn't reach like a drug, and now without it... But what they experienced was a hallucination (at cost of the non-credited authors). The important thing is that those abilities haven’t been taken away from them because they never had them in the first place, but nothing is stopping them from acquiring through his own efforts, just like all other authors, illustrators, composers...
