1) This is a really pretty time of year to drive through southern IL/IN and KY. A lot of trees are still bare, so you get a lot of color and texture from the wood, but you also get trees that are just starting to leaf out, and pines that are greening up again. Truly gorgeous at times, like the spring version of autumn color. This is hilly country, too, which adds to it all. 2) People are cool. From the guy who serviced our truck before we left to the folks we were picking up our equipment from, and all the fast food and gas station attendants along the way, sometimes it feels like everyone's been placed there to help you. (Except other drivers, of course. Never other drivers, lol.) For a minute it felt like we would have to delay our trip. But with the help of others, everything clicked into place.

@NearerAndFarther@techhub.social I saw your post earlier this week about the compact tractor and getting a new toy. Driving to KY to pick up a farm-ish thing leads me to wonder if you went to Earth Tools outside of Owentown. Because I have done that drive from Michigan for the same reason.
