I try not to be a reply guy. I don't, in general, find microblogging sites to be good places for detailed debate. You rarely get someone saying "that's a good point" in response to anything, and people do have a hankering to have The Last Word. So it seems a bit pointless and I only do it when I'm feeling pretty strongly that a falsehood needs to be challenged or a productive point needs to be reinforced, for the benefit of readers, usually, not participants.
