In highschool/college, I was focused on "getting a job" with a good employer.
It felt like that was the norm of thinking.
In hindsight, I was just carried along in a line of thinking that I needed to convince someone else to hire me.
Of course I would expect that from institutions of credentialism. What are their credentials worth if nobody needs them?
But what if the 'default' was to expect young adults to create their own job instead of seeking one?
How empowering would that be?
