I had tried the GasBuddy app, but after I uninstalled it I kept getting email (spam) from them. I requested they they delete my data. It was an onerous process. Today, nine days later, they sent a message confirming that my personal data has been deleted. If you care at all about your data privacy--or at least not getting spammed into perpetuity--please avoid the GasBuddy app. #GasPrices

I should add that GasBuddy sent me email regarding upcoming "Updated Terms of Service (Effective April 24th, 2026)" Generally when I see a change in terms of service, it's not for the benefit of the user. The app was poor and of no value to me, so I had uninstalled it long ago. Their long tentacles made me sorry that I had ever installed it. https://help.gasbuddy.com/hc/en-us/articles/38645125864471-Updated-Terms-of-Service-Effective-April-24th-2026

@johnlogic @courtney email aliases work great for me. Easy to delete when I’m done with it.

@johnlogic I've got #GasBuddy on my phone but seldom use it. Used it more when I drove more & needed to shop gas prices. Haven't been spammed by them AFAIK but I turn off all notifications, so it's unlikely that any notices have ever been sent to me anyway. 🤷‍♂️
