@PallasRiot Maybe mesh base, work shirt, durable fleece, and hardshell/jacket over it? Bottoms also mesh and then work trousers over it? But also I think the main advantage of mesh is absorbing less sweat, so going up a mountain for two hours and then another two down the back side. High intensity, lotta sweat followed by needing to stay warm at lower output while damp. Idk if the price of mesh vs cheap base layers makes it worth it for your use case. Or maybe the price difference isn't so bad if you're already using better quality work clothes.
