@contrapunctus It seems like QGIS is the tool I need, and I was able to follow bits of the tutorial. The steps you listed here don't seem to actually get me where I need. GeoFabrik doesn't have Shapefiles available. For adding layers, I don't see a source type called "service." I'm on v3.40. I've tried searching for what I need, but this seems to be a whole world that I just don't know quite well enough to be able to even ask the right question. The workflow I'm imagining is: - Get topographic OSM data files for Norway/Sweden/Finland from *somewhere* - Load them into QGIS (maybe this is a plugin) - Create a saved style/template so I can make ~10 maps that have the same "feel" - Set the params I want, make the labels, etc., - Export the ~10 maps to PNG / PDF This seems to be a very simple workflow and I'm again entirely unable to get started (even if I've made much more progress relative to josm). Got any pointers?
