Germany is considering a general speed limit (which is kinda like US folks turning over their guns) thanks to the Trump-made Epstein Oil Crisis.
If there’s any silver lining to all this BS, it’s that it’s going to enable or accelerate climate saving policies.

@finestructure@mastodon.social Does going too fast actually use considerably more gas? Anecdotally, I’ve probably seen my _best_ fuel economy when I was accidentally cruising way above the speed limit of 70 mph (though I can imagine it also getting worse past 100 mph, which I’ve only done once to see if I could handle it…)

@finestructure@mastodon.social here the EVs are apparently flying off the shelves. On that note, the only car makers smart enough to have stockpiled EVs on our shores are all Chinese 🤦♂️
