@finestructure@mastodon.social Does going too fast actually use considerably more gas? Anecdotally, I’ve probably seen my _best_ fuel economy when I was accidentally cruising way above the speed limit of 70 mph (though I can imagine it also getting worse past 100 mph, which I’ve only done once to see if I could handle it…)

@dimitribouniol@mastodon.social Yes. City traffic is worse because of start and stop but at speed, you burn fuel to overcome air resistance.
