I told a stranger I'm fat and ugly. I was making a point about how we talk about fat ugly people. (He'd said that the character of a notorious fat ugly person was obviously bad because of the fatness and ugliness.) He told me to stop beating myself up. It's very important that I am not. I AM fat (and denied healthcare, among other things, because of it). I AM ugly. I'm not content to individually escape ugliness.
