I think many folks here know Google is locking down side-loaded apps. So, just in case it matters to say, I'm not following YT links after that. Life is too short and full of frustrations to deal with the liquified garbage that is the YT user experience. NewPipe did link to a pretty involved set of steps for a work around Google Play. See short and frustration above. I'm not that kind of mobile phone user.
