I don't even work in-engine anymore but I feel the most massive cringe at every AI-user who breathlessly declares they have an Ai/Agent that will make a "production ready game from X prompt" and they point at some absolute mess with broken/non-existant colliders, incoherent level design, animations playing while the character slides around like they're on ice, the camera swinging around in nauseating random orbits, texture crimes everywhere, geometry clipping into existence and random etc..
Like not only do they not know what they're talking about they didn't even spent 10 seconds searching the web for all the free FOSS tools that would have fixed that for them in less time.
I feel second hand embarrassed

@scremlin yeah when i was lecturing first years two years ago, the signs of vibe coding were already there and the wayyy I chewed out my students for it!! like wdym you just sent me a 75gb unreal built with code all written by gpt3 and assets you just have lying around unused in folders!? granted these are students so lol, but in production is wild...
