I like journaling on the whim but I find that all apps have problems that block the flow. I want to have everything stored in plain files on a disk I control. So I made Diar - a set of iOS shortcuts to create annotated markdown files, which I can easily edit in iA Writer. And Rhea, a small webserver that parses the files, downloads maps and generates thumbnails.
