I just installed [[Tab Manager Plus]] for Chrome and I like it right away: it lets you search all your tabs *and* take actions on all matching tabs, e.g. closing them but also moving them to a new window.
This might in practice have an actual effect on the level of tabs I'm running at all times.

Pictured here what prompted me to take this tab management detour -- this is my freshly restored Chrome session on just one of my computers, [[tara]], and it's representative of what I tend to carry about.
