So I guess I'm part of the 21:9 club now!
Really enjoying this form factor. Plenty more space, but the Overview hot corner is still comfortable to reach.
Ended up getting a 37.5" 3840x1600@144 LG IPS. At 110 PPI it's slightly above my comfort zone (I sit 80+ cm from my screen), but so far it's been fine. Only a few websites where I get the urge to zoom in.
I must say, scrollable tiling works really well with a 21:9. I've heard it from niri users plenty of times, and now I can see it myself.

@YaLTeR@mastodon.online Is that a TrueBlack display? If so how is it's contrast/black level? Been super curious but haven't seen one in person. I'd prefer IPS since OLED renders text pretty poorly.

@YaLTeR@mastodon.online scrollable tiling is, IMO, the only way to fly for 3840x1600 and 5120x1440 monitors. I really enjoy niri, of course, but I hope someday that KDE, GNOME, and other DEs will see the light and implement scrollable tiling as well - at least as an option.
