@jripley Is this bait? hahah. Other considerations would be if you are dealing with sig. ripple currents or frequencie, MLCCs are fragile and can either crack _or_ cause failed joints if there's a lot thermal cycling (they won't last decades) or otherwise high dT. 20 of anything in parallel to gnd means 20 times the leakage current. Frequency of currents also relevant, MLCCs will couple acoustic frequencies into the board which might be bad...and is of course reciprocal (e.g. singing VRMs)
