re my last boost:
sectoral bargaining is a thing, including in the US, and it's generally more effective at building worker power than firm-level bargaining.
could that be a better fit for tech?

@shauna very interesting. Maybe it depends on who you're trying to change, a company or the industry? If the industry, then yeah, I'd think sectoral bargaining would be more effective. If software engineers as a whole went on strike to prevent tech abuses, that might work.
