@pluralistic it&#39;s always been striking to me how little FB and Zuckerberg seem to understand about actual friendship. For example, no one with genuine friendships would think that &quot;AI&quot; friend substitutes could replace real, sentient friends. It seems psychopathic and solipsistic.

As we all know by now, Stack Overflow has alienated their primary contributors by letting OpenAI train on SO&#39;s (CC-protected) content, and forcefully preventing countermeasures. Therefore, SO content will likely become worse and even more outdated as time goes on. So, time to migrate. The rumors are true-- the reason RightsCon in Zambia was cancelled was because of China pressuring the Zambian government to disallow Taiwanese participants and possibly other &quot;sensitive&quot; topics.
