I was aggressively befriended by a neighbour's dog. It decided it would be a fun game to ignore its owner shouting "Rocko, come here!" and instead run over to the first person it saw and jump up at them. Luckily I'm fine with dogs and it was quite small and friendly. Excessively friendly. I waited for the owner to catch up and then tried to walk away, but Rocko ran over to me again and jumped up some more. Eventually a car came along the road and the owner got scared and Rocko heard the change in her voice and got obedient (dogs know when you're serious), so she came over and picked Rocko up and apologised to me. I thought it was kind of funny but a bit annoying, and would have been horrible if I didn't like dogs.

I was tempted to point out to her that he obeyed when she sounded serious, so she just has to learn to sound serious without danger being present. I remember learning that when I was a kid, our dog would obey if you could make your voice sufficiently commanding. Hmm... I never tried that voice on a person... maybe I should...
