This one isn't making it into the blog post. When I first joined Mastodon, I was paralyzed by this idea that I was crossing a boundary if I expressed sympathy to someone I wasn't super close to. And it's weird to look back on that now, because I can't really imagine that stopping me any more. And I think the friends I've made here, and the community I've found, are why. But if you feel like I felt, by all means use this picture with my blessing. 💕
