Okay, I have a problem with one aspect of our work culture: other managers will nod along with anything the team ask for, and then either do nothing, or make it my problem to be the bad guy. It fuels a really toxic culture because it means that nobody feels listened to, and I'm always Jack the Bastard. Someone just did it again, and what makes it worse is that it's someone who sat and fucking nodded along with me that we needed to stop doing it.

And it's fucking enraging because: a) it's also part of a culture where we're in danger of people losing their jobs because we keep making financial decisions based on what is easiest to do operationally (not for staff welfare, btw, literally for "which makes me think less"). b) If you always say yes but do nothing, nobody fucking trusts you. c) You're paid more money, part of that is because you sometimes have to be the bad guy. Do it. Earn your fucking keep.
