Out of all of the platforms that users had to jump ship, from X/DeadBird to (elsewhere)....why Meta/Threads? Threads is just an watered down 'mastodon' server that's been blocked and shunned out off from a lot of other instances within the Fediverse; runned by corps who are trying to capitalize off from users data and the decentralised network with no respect for anyone's privacy or boundaries. It's been their business model ever since starting Facebook, al the while spreading harmful misinformation and even suppressing free speech. I don't know how many servers have chosen to block Threads but there are two things that I recall why Mastodon was made in the first place. To create a decentralised Social Network that empowers users and mods, and to protect and maintain the respect of privacy for their users who use them. Meta does not respect that.
